Hey there,

Im Wafa labadi. You’re probably thinking “what a unique name!” It means loyalty in Arabic. I'm a graphic designer that gets inspired by experiencing different cultures and concepts. I was born in the U.S., moved to Saudi Arabia, and then moved back, so I found creative outlets to ease the culture shock I experienced from living in polar opposite societies.

Through those experiences, I have gained a broader sense of how creative thinking impacts society by allowing the community to feel comfortable in expressing all ideas. When I was in high school I had this obsession with magazines, especially fashion magazines. I would sit and compare different magazines to each other and how they each would layout the table of contents. I would cut and collage magazines together to form my own layout.

I was introduced to graphic design when I googled how to work for a magazine company and found out graphic design was a major. I knew that is what I wanted to do, studying layout and typography.
